QR Keepsakes: Destination, Proof, and Care Checklist

Ceramic, brass, and enamel memorial keepsake samples with blank inset panels

A QR keepsake combines a physical item with a route to online material. Review both parts: the item should be accurate and suitable for its intended use, and the destination should contain only material the family is ready to share. They have separate ownership and maintenance needs.

Prepare the tribute destination

Choose the video or memorial page that should open and review it while signed out. Confirm names, dates, photographs, and messages, including details about living people. Decide whether recipients may pass the link on. A printed code is a way to share access; it does not itself make a page private.

Check the item and the final proof

Read the current product description for material, dimensions, personalization, price, shipping, and any stated care requirements. Confirm whether a physical product is separately priced from the digital tribute. Test a sample of the final design at its actual size. Do not assume a product shown indoors is suitable for an outdoor marker or permanent installation.

Plan what happens after delivery

Keep a record of the approved destination and who can maintain it. Recheck the link after any page change and retain original photographs, story text, and the downloaded video independently. Discuss hosting terms before ordering a large batch. Neither a physical QR item nor a hosted destination should be described as a promise of permanent access.
